Capstone Green Energy Corporation revealed that it has been awarded a contract to supply two C1000S microturbines as part of a cutting-edge energy system for an industrial grower’s growing and processing plant in Maryland. The order, which was placed by E-Finity Distributed Generation, Capstone’s sole distributor for the Mid-Atlantic, Southeastern United States, and Caribbean, is set to be completed in the summer of 2022.

Tom McGeehan, E-Finity’s Vice President of Sales stated that the CHP plant is intended to fulfill the facility’s rigorous cooling requirement while saving the client from the high operating expenses of running a chilled water plant.

      Moreover,

Two Capstone C1000 Signature Series microturbine energy systems will use their waste heat to power two exhaust-fired absorption chillers, producing 880 tonnes of chilled water for the 90,000 square foot facility’s space conditioning. In the event of a power loss, the robust system will be able to isolate from the electric grid and continue to operate the grow facility.
